TUITION FEES
for the academic year 2016-2017

I. FEE BASED STUDENTS - WHO PASS A WRITTEN ENTRY EXAMINATION

1. TUITION FEE:

*The tuition fee of 6,000 lei, is for students enrolled in the first and second year in the Dental Technology program of study

The fee for the 3rd possibility to participate in the examination - 50 Lei/ examination.

The tuition fee payment can be made in whole or in two equal instalments:

• 1st instalment due until: 17 October 2016
  
  
• 2nd instalment due until: 17 February 2017

For the first 60 days of the due dates, the university reserves the right to charge penalty of 0.1% / day of delay related to the amount due. If, within 60 days, the student has not paid tuition and related penalties, the university shall undertake for the debtor students to be expelled. The decision of expelling involves cancellation of student financial obligations and failing the academic year; the marks obtained in the academic year will not be recognized.

Re-enrolment is made by paying the tuition fees for the year in which they register and a reenrolment fee of 300 lei / year.

The fee for the first attendance in the bachelor degree examination is included in the tuition fee. The fee for repeating the bachelor degree examination is 250 lei.

2. TUITION FEES FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN A SUPPLEMENTARY YEAR

The students enrolled in a supplementary year pay:

1. a) 10% of the annual fee for the year of study; 
    b) the fee for failed credits from previous years:
       no. of failed credits X annual fee for the year of study/60

2. Optional: a maximum of 20 ECTS credits in advance:
       no. of ECTS credits in advance X annual fee for the year of study/60

      At the student's request, in the supplementary year he can choose to obtain 20 ECTS credits in advance for the next academic year. In this case the student pays a tuition fee according to the number of ECTS credits assigned to the discipline/ disciplines offered, and in the next academic year he will pay full tuition.

The sum of ECTS credits (failed credits or credits paid in advance) in the supplementary year may not exceed 60 credits in one academic year.

The students in a supplementary year pay in full the following taxes: the fee for the supplementary year and for the failed credits until 17 October 2016. The ECTS credits obtained in advance can be paid before at least 10 days before the examination.

3. TUITION FEES FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN A FINAL SUPPLEMENTARY YEAR

The students in final year who, at the end of all examination sessions, did not obtain all the ECTS credits necessary for the graduation of the study program can continue their studies in a final supplementary year. The students enrolled in a final supplementary year pay:

a) 10% of the annual fee for the year of study;
b) the fee for failed credits from previous years:

4. FEES FOR FAILED CREDITS ( ≤ 15)

In order for a student to promote in a superior academic year, the sum of failed credits from the previous academic years must not exceed 15 ECTS credits. The value of a failed credit is calculated as follows:

no. of failed credits X annual fee for the year of study/60

The payment for failed credits is made at the value of the ECTS credit in the year of study the student is enrolled. The payment of failed credits (≤ 15) is made at least 10 days before the outstanding examination.

5. TUITION FEE FOR THE 2ND FACULTY:

The fee for the 3rd possibility to participate in the examination - 50 lei/ examination.

The tuition fee payment can be made in whole or in two equal instalments:

• 1st instalment due until: 17 October 2016
• 2nd instalment due until: 17 February 2017

 1.1 The citizens of the Member States of the European Union, of the Member States of the European Economic Area and Switzerland Confederation, will pay the following tuition fees:

 III. FEES FOR MASTER'S DEGREE

 1. FEES FOR MASTER'S DEGREE FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE ROMANIAN CITIZENS

1.1 Tuition fees for Master's degree

*The children of the teaching staff and of the administrative employees of the "Iuliu Haţieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca are exempted from the payment of the registration fee for the master's degree studies.

The tuition fee payment can be made in whole or in two equal instalments: 

• 1st instalment due until: 24 October 2016
  
  
• 2nd instalment due until: 24 February 2017

For the first 60 days of the due dates, the university reserves the right to charge penalty of 0.1% / day of delay related to the amount due. If, within 60 days, the student has not paid tuition for Master's degree and related penalties, the university shall undertake for the debtor post-graduate students to be expelled. The decision of expelling involves cancellation of post-graduate student financial obligations and failing the academic year; the marks obtained in the academic year will not be recognized.

 Re-enrolment is made in the following academic year by paying the tuition fees for the year in which they are enrolled and a re-enrolment fee of 300 lei / year.

The fee for the first attendance in the master's degree examination is included in the tuition fee. The fee for repeating the master's degree examination is 250 lei.

 1.2 TUITION FEES FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN A SUPPLEMENTARY YEAR

 The post-graduate students who do not obtain 60 ECTS credits in order to promote the academic year will pay:

      1. a) 10% of the annual fee for the year of study;
          b) the fee for failed credits:

          no. of failed credits X annual fee for the year of study of the post-degree student / 60

2. Optional: a maximum of 20 ECTS credits in advance

          no. of ECTS credits in advance X annual fee for the year of study of the post-degree student / 60

At the post-graduate student's request, in the supplementary year he can choose to obtain 20 ECTS credits in advance for the next academic year, paying a fee corresponding to number of credits of the discipline / disciplines, and in the next academic year he will pay full tuition.

The sum of ECTS credits (failed credits or credits paid in advance) in the supplementary year may not exceed 60 credits in one academic year.

The post-graduate students in a supplementary year pay in whole the following fees: the fee for the supplementary year and the failed credits until 24 October 2016. The ECTS credits obtained in advance can be paid before at least 10 days before the examination.

For the first 60 days of the due dates, the university reserves the right to charge penalty of 0.1% / day of delay related to the amount due. If, within 60 days, the post-graduate student has not paid tuition fees for the supplementary year, the fee for failed credits in the supplementary year and the related penalties, the university shall undertake for the debtor post-graduate students to be expelled. The decision of expelling involves cancellation of post-graduate student financial obligations and failing the academic year; the marks obtained in the academic year will not be recognized.

Re-enrolment is made in the following academic year by paying the tuition fees for the year in which they are enrolled and a re-enrolment fee of 300 lei / year.

2. FEES FOR MASTER'S DEGREE FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE FOREIGN CITIZENS

 The tuition fee payment can be made in whole or in two equal instalments:

• 1st instalment due until: 24 October 2016
  
  
• 1st instalment due until: 24 February 2017

 Re-examination fee = 50 euro/examination

For the first 60 days of the due dates, the university reserves the right to charge penalty of 0.1% / day of delay related to the amount due. If, within 60 days, the student has not paid tuition for Master's degree and related penalties, the university shall undertake for the debtor post-graduate students to be expelled. The decision of expelling involves cancellation of student financial obligations and failing the academic year; the marks obtained in the academic year will not be recognized.

The fee for the first attendance in the master's degree examination is included in the tuition fee. The fee for repeating the master's degree examination is 250 lei.

IV. FEES FOR DOCTORAL STUDIES

The fees for PhD students are paid in full or in two equal instalments by the due date:

For PhD students enrolled in the years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015,2016

• 1st instalment - 14 October 2016
  
  
• 2nd instalment - 14 April 2017

The University reserves the right to levy penalties of 0,1%/day of delay, for a period of 60 days; after this period, the university will communicate the expulsion.

Re-enrolment is made by paying the tuition fees, the penalty and a re-enrolment fee of 1000 LEI.

 V. FEES FOR RESIDENCY FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS OF THE THIRD STATES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

The tuition fee payment can be made in whole or in two equal instalments.

Fee based residents, with no entry examination, must pay tuition in full by the due date of payment of the previous instalment.

For the first 30 days of the due dates, the university reserves the right to charge penalty of 0.1% / day of delay related to the amount due. After 30 days the university will arrange for expelling borrower residents physicians. The decision of expulsion involves cancellation of financial obligations for the previous failed didactic activity.

Re-enrolment is made in the following academic year by paying the tuition fees for the year in which they are enrolled and a re-enrolment fee of 300 lei / year.

VI. LIBRARY FEES

Where documents are damaged, destroyed or lost by users, they have to pay the stock value of the document, updated with the daily application of the inflation factor, plus an amount equal to 1-5 times the price thus calculated.
