Dear fellow students,

Starting with March 2, 2020, the direction of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Haţieganu" Cluj-Napoca has decided to switch the teaching activity to the Microsoft Office platform for the three faculties (Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy), as a preventive measure, to reduce the epidemiological risk of spreading the infection with the new coronavirus.

Continuing the teaching activity online meant a great effort and mobilization of the university direction and of the entire academic body.

We appreciate and thank you for the very quick adaptation and for the constructive contribution that most of you have had in switching the teaching activity to the virtual environment.

However, we want to bring into discussion the use of teaching materials existing on the platform, such as: pdf courses / practical works, manuals, case presentations, real-time activity records, etc. They can be viewed on the platform whenever you want to review them. But, it is one thing to have unlimited access to these documents on the platform, and other thing to distribute them outside the university (youtube, off-platform discussion groups, others) without the institutional and authors' consent. In addition, this is mentioned in the Code of Student Conduct within the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Haţieganu" Cluj-Napoca (Senate Decision No. 11 of September 26, 2019), which states in the section Rectitude and Academic Integrity the fact that "audio-video-photo recording of courses or practical work, as well as the distribution outside the University of the teaching material made available by university staff, is strictly forbidden without the written consent of the person who teaches the respective course / practical work, of the patients who appear in the material, etc. "

Therefore, we invite you to respect the commitments you have made by signing the above code. We also ask students who have distributed educational material in the public space to remove, within 24 hours of receipt of this notification, from youtube.com, all records and montages made public.
